I tried to partition using gparted one more time. Deleted the partition,
and created a new extended with logical under it. Gparted gave me an error
about not being able to find a byte location, if I recall correctly.

I'm reinstalling ubuntu oneiric again and will test with kernels from

This is all I have, appears to have disappeared N-1 updates ago, there
are four logs to look at but no indication as to what happened.
If there's anything else I can do please let me know but if this is a
one-off then lets kill it, I'm sure there are more important ghosts to
chase down.

could provide an AppArmor profile for it that people can opt into. The
