I'm sorry for the incomplete description!
Here what happened: In the ubuntu package i had before the last update (forgot
name of old ubuntu) i could easily connect to my mobilephone with bluetooth, i
even had a symbol in top of my screen (near battery symbol), i only had to
click on my phone li
I'm having the exact symptoms as described initially in this bug.
I've seen the same problem both with nouveau as well as with nvidia proprietary
280.13 in Oneric, note that I haven't been seriously testing that bit, I've
just been switching between the two for the last 2-3 months as a result of

when I upgraded to Oneiric.

does not seem to be a case here, gnome-terminal was instantly killed
here, I doubt you might have faced bug 856205. Can you retest please to
check if it still happens for you/
