I don't think a fix is coming any time soon. Upstream is focusing on pdns 3.0
which is not in Ubuntu yet, but it is in Debian unstable. When it hits Debian
testing, it could be brought over to Ubuntu and backported all the way to Hardy.
I'm also running a self-backported version. You are welcome
I think I've found the problem.. at least for my setup.
I disabled Hardware Acceleration in Firefox (8).
No slowdowns for 8 hours now.
