Pushed the cherry-picked fix from the Debian package to lucid, maverick
and natty (as they all had the same version of opencryptoki). The Ubuntu

I have overseen the question after one year inactivity. Hope it's not
too late. In recent oneiric stable release, the problem still exits.
Please see attached screenshot. Gnome is 3.2 from ubuntu repository. The
lotus notes and lotus symphony (both java/eclipse based) applications
have this problem

18 months old and I never had any problems with performance until this last
version, and only on
Did you have sync setup on Chromium? The link I posted above says it
only happens when it syncs in the background. Also, how much do you use
Firefox vs. Chromium? Obviously if you don't have Chromium open much it
probably wouldn't happen.

Did all the updates (incl new kernel, 2.6.35-31-generic atm) - didn't help.
rechecked all the settings, nothing seems to be wrong.
replaced speakers with headphones - no change
tried dualboot to winXP - everything works as a charm, so hardware is ok.

/usr/share/cups/model and not /usr/share/ppd/. I've added sym link to
custom and then it starts to recognize and installs automatically.
