I agree. I miss a lot of things in this new gnome-control-center. For
example, in ubuntu 11.04 (gnome2) we can easily configure laptop lid,
power button, screensaver, user groups, automatic login in unity-2d...
All those things have gone in ubuntu 11.10 (gnome3), now Gnome-Tweak and
Ubuntu-Tweak ar
Unfortunately, now the crash is different and maybe related to a race
condition (?).
The problem seems to happen in 2 of the nautilus-sendto plugins:
libnstbluetooth.so and libnstevolution.so.
What I've done was removing the rest of the plugins and just running
valgrind and gdb with each of those

The fix is upstream so next time didrocks pulls a new compiz snapshot
into lp:ubuntu/compiz you will get the fix in precise. I assume they
will be pulling newer snapshots of compiz into precise before it's
released... :)

Yes the bug is still present because the fix has not been committed yet.
When the fix reaches an alpha build, the Status in "unity (Ubuntu)" will
say "Fix Released".

I think the "freeze" issue is probably more accurately described by a
different bug. I've seen several people make reference to such long
