OK, there's different aspects to this..
1. It was included because this came to late and the risk of creating a
regression was greater than the security issue. It's consistent in our
policy, and it's geared towards our user base (mostly because most of
our users are 1. desktop users 2.

I have found out that the first seat can be called without using th
-sharevts option. See the attached lightdm.conf. With this new
configuration I get an almost perfect two seat configuration but one
problem remain.
If the second seat closes a session (and hence restart its X server to

Lightdm configuration with -sharevts option only in the second seat

I removed the known_hosts on my client, removed roots ssh key on the server
(kavasir) and get now a prompt while ssh as root from client into the server.
Looks like I got different hosts keys since the virsh command used the FQDN,

I'm experiencing the same thing. With a full snapshot and a disabled
splash screen, I get an error message telling me that a command has
timeouted (lvscan, IIRC), and it had been terminated. I removed the

Me too, Claudio: Updating to the latest Kernel 3.0.0-14-generic for
11.10 / official Ubuntu (64bit, running on mains, ie plugged in) gets
rid of both the locked-to-dim state after being idle for a while and the
reverse brightness problem after being idle for a few seconds.
