I also confirm same problem.
Couple minutes ago I installed updates with Update manager, and after restart
could not boot any more.
I selected 3.0.0-12 in grub and booted as usually.
Using Lubuntu 11.10, fresh installation.
I this can help, my root partition is Luks crypted, and system hal
I wonder if I shall turn my 11n off as long as this isn't fixed. I can
connect to my AP without problems and the connection never drops, but I
also have these excessive retries in 11n mode. When connected in g mode
I have faster pings but network transfer is slower when copying a file
by FTP from m

When Booted Comes Up With "Boot Error"

Can confirm this bug still affects a DG965OT. Both natty and oneiric
images tested, received "Boot error".
Setting "USB Mass Storage Emulation Type" to "All Fixed Disc" from "Auto
Detect" as documented worked around the issue.
Guessing next step in getting this bug resolved would be to test the
Public bug reported:
Unresponsiveness appears to be increasing as svg file size gets bigger.
8MB is really slow compared to other file managers like for example
Dolphin.

Hi Gerry,
OK, this time it did something, but nothing I could really see. The screen
flashed but I didn't notice any real change.
So then I switched to Hebrew and it came up the same way as in the
screen shot. I went to Dash Home and tried Firefox. Firefox did come up,
but that was the only thing
I'm having the same problem, but in my case it sometimes also randomly
pops up a notification that it needs the password while it has been
running just fine for some time. When I switch to it facebook is
connected and works as it should.
