The scanner works under Ubuntu Natty, Maverick and (with a upgrade from
a PPA) in Lucid.
I have found that the scanner works under Lubuntu 11.10 and Xubuntu
I have been able to get this going by installing nvidia-current.
For some reason it broke again however this time I could run lightdm from
command line after boot.
I got sick of doing this every boot, so I started fresh again. The following
output is from a fresh install prior to installing nvid
I tried to test this, but do not see the package available in natty-
proposed

This bug WAS fixed, and is fixed in oneiric right now. This bug was not
fixed by the change that Robert Carr proposed however. That changed is
not in oneiric, and seems to make no difference when I tested it today.

The reason for this is that lxcguest bind-mounts a custom fstab over
/lib/init/fstab when a container is booted. For the precise cycle, we
intend to fix mountall so that we'll no longer need that hack. Once
that's done, mountall upgrades will be able to proceed.

When I said we can improve on this, I meant we should:
(a) Enhance unity-window-decorator to use the Shadow Opacity setting
from compizconfig. It seems to ignore it presently.

(b) Enhance unity-window-decorator to scale its shadow radii (from

FlexNet licensing program which writes into an absolute sector of the
first track of ur hard disk, in my case it was sector #48, other people

overlapping multiple workspaces, since with things like the edge
switcher plugin you may want to overlap workspaces.
This bug is really a pain when the window isn't even visible to the
user. It can be quite frustrating to select the win

(c) Enhance unity-window-decorator to honour Shadow Offset X/Y from
compiz config. I know the offset presently comes from metacity-
theme-1.xml, but like (b) we could make it relative to the setting from
compiz config.
Thus, one can change the shadow settings in CCSM or the theme
definition.

and is a duplicate of bug #827934, so is being marked as such. Ple
Pidgin's color problem seems to happen if the icon size is less than 46 or more
than 50.
Rhythmbox isnt so consistent though. This happened in Ubuntu Natty and is still
present in Ubuntu Oneiric.

Take note in the screenshot- I have lo-menubar installed, but it never shows
for the libreoffice shortcut.

Scratch that, sounds works again after playing music/other media. Even
with the sound working again though, the volume control is unable to do
anything.

Ubuntu 11.10 I have this problem I think.
Sound randomly stops while in unity (usually after playing a flash video).
This never happens in gnome shell however.

I fixed it by removing the chromium folder at /home/myusername/.config/
and did a reinstall. Now Chromium is working fine.

Thanks for the reply Avis. Looks like you are not using hpcups ppd.
PLease install latest HPLIP release (HPLIP 3.11.10) and use hpcups ppd.
If issues are not resolved then please let me know.

Wolfgang, I had this on a netbook which never had Windows. I think it's
not the only reason. Yes, more popular, but not the only one.
But I've had it just one time in very specific conditions (see #29) and
on the previous release. Maybe the other reason was fixed, I don't know.
