Eugene yes thats the exact problem I am having. Yes it did work on
Ubuntu 11.04 and yes I am using a Playstation Eye Camera. It does not
list anything in input devices. This is correct.

options snd-hda-intel model=mbp55
to alsa-base.conf, now there is sound but only through the internal speaker,
while in Sound Settings only 'Analog Headphones' appears. The same with

i would like to point out, that it starts dnsmasq but it does not listen for
dhcp.
it listen to dns, even if no dns entries are defined for the network.
