having the addon disabled in thunderbird and upgraded to a working
version when it's available, they'll now have it uninstalled and have to
go hunt for it again, only to find that it's uninstallable and not sure

I would guess that this is caused by the change in ganglia-
monitor.postinst from (in natty)
adduser --system --ingroup ganglia --home /var/lib/ganglia ganglia

I was able to build and install the package by changing it to:

Battery status and lock key works. Sleep key works (screen goes blank,

Yes, I am. I'm on 10.04 and both the version packaged with this, and any
version I can get out of a PPA, gives this problem. Re-authenticating
with Twitter doesn't make it go away.
I'm not in a position to upgrade the OS yet.

wants to upgrade Thunderbird anyway, only to discover _after_ the
upgrade that there’s no compatible Lightning.

top command. In System monitor you can't see Xorg and its CPU.

[ 29.078195] scsi: killing requests for dead queue

Well, this is weird. At the (initramfs) prompt, I entered "exit" and the
system continued to boot. So, I brought up bond0, eth2, and eth3. I
continue to see dropped packets:

I have applied the patch in

and it works.
However, you must force version (in synaptic) because there has been an
update to a newer version in the official repositories.
Would be great if the patch could be applied soon...

Yes, the problem persists and we don't have anyone assigned to this bug.
Why won't Canonical address this problem? FGLRX is not that uncommon.
Very few people find Unity a 'suitable' replacement and it's sad to see
that we are essentially forced to migrate to a different distribution.
