Did you try the solution posted by sordna? I have a very similar camera
and installation to you and it works flawlessly now.
PS: With the daemon.conf solution, if the audio device doesn't appear at
start up, unplug and replug the webcam and it will show up.

Tried linux-image-3.0.0-13-server and get the same result. Using an
older kernel, linux-image-2.6.39-3-server, shows no dropped packets. On
the same hardware, with the interfaces configured the same way, a RHEL6
2.6.32-131.17.1.el6.x86_64 kernel shows no dropped packets.

RAID1 array. I performed a clean install of 64 bit Mythbuntu 11.10 onto
a single disk on an i3 2100 system. Note that I have configured this

Running Ubuntu 10.04, upgraded from 8.04 and initially hylafax was
working great. Then I noticed the following symptoms appeared, probably
after restarting hylafax:

We have no plans to do development work on xdm, so I am going to WONTFIX
the xdm task. It's not a bad idea though, but I would suggest
approaching upstream about it if you really want it. I suspect it was
added to xdm as just a blanket "all dm's should support guest accounts",
