There is also much simpler solution (which I use) - never hide the
launcher (at least on big screens). No confusion then. (optional ability
to hide it temporarily by clicking top left corner would be very helpful

I got our Brother DCP-8045D to work by adding "usblp" to /etc/modules
and then using parallel:/dev/usblp0 as the URI (the deprecated way of
doing things!).
Simply upgrading to 3.0.0-13 didn't help.

as always, but when maximized i cannot right-click the title bar (which
is the taskbar).

Totally support this.
Especially when sharing settings, there might be single files that can
be shared safely and others that would break the program if shared, all
in the same directory. Example case: the bookmarks of a browser [you
don't really want to share the cache or the history, just the
bo
why should it be a bug instead of a security-feature?
for me its the same like "root is not able to login into gdm". So what
is the reason to have this bug open?

In my case this seems to be related to my local user. When using other
users the logout is pretty fast, even with network-manager running and
connected to a wifi-network. Has anybody tried logging out with a
different user to see if it's slow as well?
