2.6.38-12.51.1~ppa1~lucid1 and the 32-bit RHEL-compatible VM guest does
not hang while using 2 CPUs anymore.

I agree: it would be good to get this machine booting out of the box.
I also tried 10.04 LTS, and it has similar problems. However, the following
works:
- install 10.04 amd64 from CD
- install linux-image-2.6.38-11-generic from
http://packages.ubuntu.com/fi/lu

I'm interested in adding a check for this in txsecrets, so a similar bug is not
recognized as a mismatched gnome-keyring version, but instead reported as the
original error. Any ideas?
