I'm having the exact same bug on asus n53s-sz404v. The workaround also
works for me (switching to Analog Speakers when a headphone is plugged
in), but it is a bit annoying.

I just realized that the reason I wasn't getting a response for the
upstream kernel bugzilla is that it now appears to require https and not
http. The wiki page at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/Upstream/kernel
really needs to be updated to use https for the link. I'm not sure how
to get that chang
Never mind. I had followed a bad link and ended up at RedHat's bugzilla
site. I'm still unable to get to bugzilla.kernel.org.
