This looks like the symptoms of a bug we fixed a while back with the FTS
extension where the worker thread could access the sqlite cursor (which
is not thread safe).
Please check if you can still reproduce this with zeitgeist-0.8.2 and
zeitgeist-extension-fts-0.0.13 which should both be in Oneiric
There was a bug in one of the versions Zeitgeist FTS Extension that had
this symptom. Please update to the latest version (zeitgeist-extension-
fts 0.0.13) and check if you still see the issue.

So it looks like we get thrown off (or already is off?) the bus when
calling AddMatch on the session bus. There were some fixes in Zeitgeist
0.8.2 that may have also fixed this issue. Can anyone with

Ok I have been able to resolve this problem by now.
What led to resolution
1) I was trying to install Ubuntu 11.04 64 bit on a laptop using USB as an
installation media.
The USB was prepared by Unetbootin.
2) I formatted USB in another Ubuntu 11.04 system with Unetbootin and
created that usb
I wanted to add that I installed 10.04 on laptop in problem and then on
same 10.04 I installed 11.04 I used whole 320 GB space of my laptop hard
disc for installation in both cases.

Compiz's "Sync to Vblank" makes di
On my Dell Vostro 3450 with i5 2410M Ubuntu can work over 4 hours
without any power supply. I just had to force ASPM to work and put "echo
powersave > /sys/module/pcie_aspm/parameters/policy" in /etc/rc.local. I
know it's an awful hack, but it works. Something should be done about

Whenever I click on Desktop Nautilus crashes. It also crashes randomly
when using it in other folders. After that it does not restart for some
time. Tried deinstalling nautilus-open-terminal and Ubuntu One, no
effect, also after restart. The problem occurred yesterday after
updating.

Per http://ubuntuforums.org/showpost.php?p=10167074&postcount=7 this can
be worked around by adding
rfkill block bluetooth
to startup applications.
Since both the gnome applet and rfkill use /dev/rfkill the applet should
pick up the disabled state still.
