libcelt051-dev doesn't seem to be in Oneiric? the qemu-kvm debdiff
still seems to build-depend on spice packages, which means it will dep
wait if uploaded, as only main is available in the build env.
At this point, it seems saner to make this a P target - unless we
consider it a release blocker.

vlc, then metacity doesn't crash
$ export LIBOVERLAY_SCROLLBAR=0
$ vlc
works fine.

I'm really pretty nervous about adding this to Oneiric at this stage,
simply because it touches grub. It wouldn't seem to be a release
blocker, so I'm suggested we defer it to P-series.

It sounds like a hardware problem to me. Can we rule that out?
You seem to have two front headphone jacks, is this a problem with both
jacks? Other operating systems, or other versions of Ubuntu?

@Thilo, it seems that the discussion was about whether there should be a
better fix but there does not seem to be any confirmation about any real
problems found with either version. As of today only the patch as it was
queued has made it upstream. So this would be the change that would go
into natt
