Reviewing the video this appears to be a mode switch and not a flash of
a console. There is no cursor and the backlight appears to turn off.
We are expecting to see a mode switch as drm initialises, even if we
have a matched resolution as we are also switching tiliing modes and
rejigging pipe conn

a good idea to reopen it?
Some other people also get it with the patched version, see comments 69, 71, 73.

I have noticed that in 10.10, having Metacity set to do compositing
causes video tearing (tested apps: SMPLayer, XBMC; both using VDPAU)
whereas using Compiz does not (once refresh rates and "Sync to VBlank"
are set via correctly CCSM and in the X Server settings).
This is on a system with a GT240
here to just after starting ccsm.
Perhaps some plugins are buggy?

s-c is only based on the pkgname, not the origin. This causes the stats

Steps to reproduce:
1. Device connected to a LCD monitor with VGA/HDMI cable
2. Boot up this device
3. System enters ubuntu then the screen mode will be "Mirror" mod

Because of a problem with fglrx I have had to reinstall from scratch. I
found that I could not reinstall from Ubuntu beta 2 or daily builds and
have had to reinstall natty then upgrade. (if it might give any clue to
the current bug the oneric install could not start the screen with or
without fglrx
