xpdf is a very old X application, I did not use it since gpdf was
replaced by evince.
I just remember it does not use pango, and has it's own cMap.
So any change in fontconfig and poller-data will never affect it.

Firefox 3.6.20 was part of today's Ubuntu update but Virgin have also
fixed their certificate. Both version 3.6.18 and 3.6.20 now load the
Virgin page without error so it is reasonable to assume that the
certificate is fixed at Virgin.
I have no way of verifying when Firefox is fixed.
I believe the launcher's auto-scroll behavior is designed to combat this
issue. Unless you mean for the trash launcher to never leave it's
position at the bottom of the launcher?
