It seems the bug appears only when more than one users are
simultaneously logged into the system. At least logging into system one
user at time seems to help a lot in avoiding the bug. This may also be
the reason why bug is not common for most users and not so easily

If I have Chrome and Firefox installed, ftp bookmarks open with Chrome (sftp

Currently the package gedit-valencia-plugin is packaged for gedit2.
However since in Oneiric gedit3 is installed, the plugin won't be
recognized.
There is a branch gedit-3 on repository git://yorba.org/valencia which
enables gedit3 supports.

Ok, if gnome-system-tools is deprecated in Gnome3, what about Xfce,
means Xubuntu?
It seems they still use and need this package. I realized this bug,
while using Xubuntu@Xfce (pls. see Bug #824485) ...

We all know that, starting from Oneiric, gdm is replaced by lightdm on
regular Ubuntu, but still, it still need Ubuntu love! At least, for
those who will want to use the regular/vanilia Gnome 3 (with gnome-
shell) and wants optimal integration with the DM.
