the liveCD image doesn't have the french langpacks, ubiquity doesn't
strip its translations though to be usuable in any language to install
Ubuntu, the desktop icons for their part probably have inline
translation in their .de

get an langpack update since the new strings landed

I also have a trouble with Duplex Printing on HPLIP. My printer is a HP
psc 1510 and I can't print double sided, nor with Ubuntu 9.04 neither
with Ubuntu 10.10, in spite of the correct setting of the program. I am
bearing this bug for the last two years, too much time indeed!

first of all my system was/ is totally up to date
So I decided to go another way: I logged into unity 2d and reinstalled
unity, compiz and also erased all settings in unity
This did the trick...but now I can't tell you anymore why this happend,
I'm sorry :(

I looked at this briefly. It is *ancient*. Last updated in 2004. Uses
deprecated debhelper compat level 3. No big bugs, but I'm assuming
that's because it is so rarely used. I am worried about
maintainability.

Upgraded boot-repair and installed boot-repair-common. Than tried using it,
both in the "first repair" mode and in the "second repair". No boot. :(
