I also have these problems with your indicator. It mostly works good but
there are times that it doesn't show up on the panel. I can see that it
is running in system monitor but it just doesn't show up and killing the
process (and then starting it) doesn't solve problem.

Hmm, "Configuration=-1" is usable only from usb_modeswitch version
1.1.8. Starting with that version, the configuration check is skipped
anyway if "bNumConfigurations" is 1; this applies also to the Samsung
device.
In short, updating just the config file with 1.1.7 will fail - updating
the program
Note: the current version is 1.1.9 which adds support for the Cisco AM10
Wifi stick. Just mentioning.
