I modified the file "/etc/default/virtualbox-ose" in the way propose by
Xavier Bassery but this didn't work for me.
In order to uninstall virtualbox-ose, I selected the recorey option at
starting screen and choose the netroot (non-gui session with
networking). In the console we used dpkg -P virtua
If you want to uninstall virtualbox-ose try this:
- entry in the system using recovery option
- use netroot option (console with user root and networking).
- use dpkg -P virtualbox-ose, to purge the packages
This works for me, I think that if you entry in this way in the system,

I keep getting a crash when I select "Write to Disc" from the right
click menu. It will only happen once while using the OS until I start up
the machine via cold boot. Nautilus will restart itself so I don't need
to restart the process.
