I'm looking forward to seeing this bug fixed as it would make lots of people
able to run their games 'out-of-the-box' (i.e. without no-cd patch).

OK, after a dozen of tries I still can't come up with an exact sequence of
actions to reproduce this bug.

when I try to shutdown/restart from the Gnome panel (Top right "shutdown icon"
from the panels -> shutdown/restart)
I get asked if I really want to shutdown/restart or cancel when I click
shutdown/restart screen flickers I see the console for a second shutting down
was trying to do so, step 1 was not a problem. on step two the update went
fine, pack edges that i couldn't install before were now installed and a new
kernel was installed. Then i tried to upgrade... with no success :( attached

Wow - indeed, this does in fact happen after 5-6 tries. Seems like a
race condition. Have you been able to make it happen with any other
applications?
To clarify steps to reproduce:
1.) Run gedit with Alt+F2 'gksu gedit'
2.) Pin gedit to the launcher with 'Right Click > Keep in Launcher'
3.) Open

I was told that my wireless bug
(https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/766942) was a
duplicate of this one. It is a problem with Sveon SNT1020.
Therefore I read all this conversation and installed (on Ubuntu 11.04) like:
sudo dpkg -i
linux-headers-2.6.38-8-generic_2.6.38-8.42~lp769
I have EXACTLY the same problem as Espen.
Started after I upgraded to Natty.
BTW I'm _not_ using Unity but the Classic Ubuntu.
IS this the first bug logged for this or might there be a duplicate?
