I have Samsung Syncmaster 204Ts which worked fine with Ubuntu 10.04
using DVI connection. Since 10.10 the screen is blank with DVI

Evolution uses the gnome proxy settings as they were when you opened it.
Subsequent changes to settings do not seem to affect evolution as long
as it is open. Once you close Evolution, you must make the gnome proxy

Muting the left or the right channel worked for me. Good workaround, but
it would be really nice to have this solved in pulse audio or alsa.

To manage notifications a
Bug #766776 is talking about double clicks. This bug is about *single*
clicks and keyboard shortcuts (where the concept of double clicking
doesn't apply anyway).
In short, the fix for #766776 has caused a regression in the handling of
single clicks (hence this bug report).
