Workstation 7.1.4 build-385536 virtual machine), and now this bug does

I have done it. But I think you will get nothing as I do not have
network manager installed. I can not run an automatic bug report about
network manager since I can not connect to the internet when Network
manager is installed. if you can tell me a way I can run it offline and
save a file, i will r

Sorry, you are correct, it would be difficult to report a bug in Network
Manager without having it installed! A good start would be to know the
Wifi card you are using. Can you run:
'lspci | grep -i network'
and put the output here?

I have try the 2.6.39 kernel, that's the same,
I have try to disable IPv6 in ubuntu and firefox,
The problem is the same on my notebook
I encountered the same problem, after upgrading and deleting the
(working) entry in the manager, and adding it again. The problem is not
searching for the hidden ssid and thus not auto connecting (after
reboot).
For me the solution was something like (not sure though, not repeatable, it now
