In the middle of doing nothing special, GDM completely died. But it was
possible to login again afterwards without restart.

Crash
I have never seen this crash again since that one time. I suppose it was
a race condition between two instances of the daemon running
simultaneously.
It might be safe to close this issue as it appears to only happen if a
gnome session/Xorg crash occurs prior to this.

I can support that observation. It doesn't matter if you put heavy load
on the nfs mounts. All that matters is that the nfs mounts are mounted
via autofs and that you have a timeout to get the system automatically

I can confirm this problem.
This is especially annoying when you're deploying systems and every single one
of the sends the same error-mail after the first logrotate run.
Should be an easy fix.

I hope this change of summary is not confusing:
Of course only windows from the current workspace are shown in the current
workspace, the problem is the representation in the LAUNCHER.
IS this really included in the new summary? Shouldn't it be changed
back?

It sounds like you have not installed the libraries to read encrypted
DVD's. These libraries don't ship with Ubuntu by default for legal
reasons.

build using the .deb from Debian sid.
I've tested this locally in a clean oneiric sbuild chroot environment +
libaspectj-java_1.6.11+dfsg-2_all.deb and it builds sucessfully
