If you still have the patience, could you also do this with ltrace? The
strace-ff output clearly indicates that the error comes from within
emacs23 so perhaps you can limit ltrace to just emacs23 or nautilus. I
suspect the nvidia drivers but perhaps a library trace could shed more
light on this.
testing with gcc-4.6 4.6.0-12 from debian unstable. the package builds.
using the same debian gcc with -march=armv7-a -mthumb -mfloat-fp=softfp
-mfpu=vfpv3-d16, the package fails in the test.
looks like an armv7/thumb regression in 4.6 compared to 4.5.

I am seeing a new problem (actually 2 new problems) around the keyring
on Ubuntu 10.10 (32bit). I login and I am prompted for the keyring and -
1. If I don't give the password in some time the keyboard doesn't work
anymore and the mouse works but I can't click anything. I had to reboot
the machine
I have a tentative fix for this issue. A test kernel has been posted to:

Actually, Shane's approach works for me. The only addition I had to do
was export JAVA_HOME="/usr/lib/jvm/java-6-openjdk
I am running ubuntu natty narwhal, and I tried the delete $JAVA_HOME
approach, but I think that is not needed. The linking of the tools.jar
resolved it.

power cube with usb, sounds great for awhile, then it'll blast your
brains with static , no drivers needed , but manual says it works

Unlike I stated yesterday, addin esound DID NOT fix the sound issue in
Tbird. I'm now able to play the sample from within the configuration
menu, but the sound does not play in regular operation.

The problem is that changelogs are downloaded from changelogs.ubuntu.com
which requires some time to sync. We avoid downloading from launchpad to
not hammer it too much.
I see 2 solutions there:
1. Better wording of the message
2. Fallback to the launchpad URL if it is not available f
