I just noticed the gdb I posted in my attachment had useless information
due to user-error so I deleted it to prevent confusion. when this bug

board.
Processor is i5 2500K, not overclocked, using onboard graphics.
FYI, Z68 is in the same family as P67/H67. ASRock is also a subsidiary of ASUS.

When I set "model=thinkpad" and rebooted, the microphone seemed to work (level
indicator responding in sound preferences), but stopped working as soon as I
tried to make a test call in skype. With "model=asus", the microphone did not

Similar situation happens to me with classic interface - after using

I can confirm this in Unity. Mipmap on causes the problem, off the
problem is gone. Running FGLRX on an ATI HD 2400 (Toshiba laptop). I
could test using X.org's ati drivers or vesa drivers. Just e-mail me if

I've re-based my modifications to initramfs-tools-0.98.8ubuntu3
Now it supports:
* ramzswap for Linux 2.6.32
* ramzswap for Linux 2.6.35
* zram for Linux 2.6.38
Maybe also versions in the middle.

I am not running compiz. -> Not the same bug.
I am seeing rectangles, this IS the same bug (i don't see people
reporting rectangles in the compiz bug).

taking on the identity of a dual boot system that is running Ubunto
