I am also experiencing this but it's not exclusive to OpenGL windows. Any
default video output will do this.
Going to gstreamer-properties and changing the video output from "Default" to
"X Window System(No Xv)" fixes it for media players. This does not fix for

Can you try and explain in more detail what are you trying to
accomplish?
Babylon is a Windows program, they do not support running it on linux
distributions. Have you installed it using wine in Ubuntu and it works
well except for Latin?

@IFred, well maybe relevant. Near as I can tell you do have the fixed
version installed. But having xorg-edgers installed confuses me.
Would be nice to get this confirmed as unfixed from someone not running
xorg-edgers.
