I can confirm this, I'm running KXStudio 10.04.2. I'm not aware of any
PPAs providing >=2.18, and from my limited experimentation a moment ago,
it seems to require an upgrade/compilation of quite a few cairo and
pygtk related packages in order to compile the required package.

Thank you for your backtrace, unfortuately it is not very usefull when the
application did not crash.
So I guess we'll have to wait for another crash.

As
I just tried Ubuntu 10.10 with acpi=off via grub - this makes suspend
impossible now - maybe this is acpi problem? some broken support for
this model?

Hi Ludvic,
I would like to create log but I can't do it becuase if I excute"pcscd --debug"
from command line as su, the problem doesn't happen.
Do you have any idea how to create log file without executing pcscd manually?

Stopping other processes and daemons via webmin is still possible and
sshd is still running.
Plugging a USB keyboard does not result in being able to type commands.
SSH reboot gives a response:
# reboot

After reboot --force looses control, Webmin is still running:

that I can't see objects on the desktop and every opened window leave
some kind of trace on the desktop. Even tooltips from unity panel leave
