It seems the best workarounds so far is either:
a) Reverted to an older compiz as described in #116 (disables Unity).
b) Use the command >> killall -9 "notification-area-applet" << and reload the
applet when prompted. Do it a couple of times and hopefully the icon will
appear.

Same Bug here. fresh Natty install, old home partition, after workaround
functionality reestablished. BUT: when typing an email address,
nautilus-sendto is not reading my address-book from Evolution, i.e.

It happens to me also, after 20-30 min working on ubuntu 11.04 with the
lastest updated. With Gnome clasic (no unity). Also im using a radeon HD
4870 with privative drivers. the "unity --replace&" command didnt work
for me.

Also have the same bug. When I search for additional drivers it shows
only the Nvidia proprietary driver then says nVidia driver activated,
not being used.
11.04 64-bit with Nvidia GeForce 8400GS Clean install. I have not tried
any 3d acceleration, but things seem to run ok.

developers say that they are *not* dropping on the floor queries that
don't identify a User-Agent; they are throttling them, but not failing
to honor them. T

/usr/bin/python is a symbolic link, could you check what it is pointing
to?
ls -la /usr/bin/python
if it's not python 2.7, you can manually link it to the correct version:
sudo rm /usr/bin/python

"/dev/bus/usb/001/002: Operation not permitted" in the VM log file.
Is it perhaps possible that something else (e.g. the linux printing
system) already has exclusive access to these devices?
