I've found a less than satisfactory, but acceptable solution until this
bug is fixed. When I log in, the first thing I do is issue the command
"xset -dpms" to turn off the energy star features (standby, suspend,
off). This means I can now have my screensaver active and close the lid
on my laptop,
This bug is obsolete with the new 2.6.38 kernel.

Solution found.
You need to delete the CUPS-PDF printer then install it again going through the
"New Printer" dialogue.
I haven't tried it, but this procedure may work for other printers too which do
not work after the upgrade.

Banshee.exe crashed with SIGABRT in __kernel_
i also get this error message in my kernel log. i have 2 ide disks
connected to a fake-raid card (pci-ide). this error only occurs when i
put stress on the raid array (e.g. compilation or copying a lot of
data). it still works after the error but with very poor performance.
i'm on 11.04, Natty Nar
