I am running a natty narwhal server (fully updated) and I am trying to
set up a cups server. The cupsd process does not start. The cups

Upgraded from Maverick to Natty. I did not notice any big problems on
Maverick, after upgrading to Natty, I noticed huge packet loss, network
errors and slow network in general.
After blacklisting the modules mentioned by @Scott fixed the packet loss
completely, network seems to be more stable.

'compiz --replace' didn't work (no display), so I had to kill -9 gnome-session

Same issue: disabled the gtalk plugin and ran sudo add-apt-repository
ppa:sevenmachines/flash && sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install
flashplugin64-installer. Issue was resolved immediately.
