resolvconf: Error: /etc/resolv.conf must be a symlink
Please try
sudo mv /etc/resolv.conf /etc/resolv.conf.orig

Failing log as requested. I did not see any headers content, maybe I'm running
the wrong thing. Let me know if you need me to run/test anything else.

I have this problem with bzr and bzr-svn to the same server, here is a log when

installed ubuntu 11.04.
I cannot change the screen brightness. What's worse: If I try with the Fn
shortcuts my screen freezes and I need a hard reboot (!).

I was having this issue as well.
What I tried was I disabled my WINS Server in my smb.conf "wins support
= no" and reinstalled Samba. It installed successfully. Rebooted my PC
and it was working again.
I didn't need WINS anymore and was meaning to disable it anyways, but if

This bug also affects all compiz edge bindings with mouse button presses
in it on dual monitors with nvidia driver 270.41.06 under both gnome and

It seems that most affected by this bug are trying to install the Canon
Pixma-series drivers. I've got mine working, and here's how I did it:
1. Add the line

to your /etc/apt/sources.list

Same here using Acer 5620Z. Don't have (and never had) this problem with
GNOME. Workaround: use GNOME!
