setting in /etc/apt/apt.conf dating back to Ubuntu dapper. Removing

Ive solved the issues I had. 1st the CSS files did not load and was not

I just installed Natty with all available patches as of today.
Still MC8780 is not working.
Rebooting and choosing Karmic 9.10 MC8780 works just fine.
This is the main reason I cannot use newer Ubuntu versions than Karmic.

useful? I have a system with IPMI that you can access and attempt an
install/boot on.

Following Szymon's post earlier, i downgraded my xserver and the nvidia
drivers and everything is working fine. I had to go thru the trouble of
pinning the packages in synaptic and then also holding them in dpkg
separately just to make sure i don't accidently upgrade them.
Considering the severity
I'll purchase a wired mouse and will see how that goes. I'm also going
to purchase a different Mini PCI Wifi module. I'll post back here with
the results.
