I tried this workaround for GTalk and also for another my jabber account
(from Yandex.ru). It works. But it doesn't work for jabber account for

For the record: I just made a quick test compiling the Maverick
mbp_nvidia_bl package on my vanilla Natty MBP 6,1 and correctly finds
the device now. However, as soon as I tried to adjust the level (F1) the
screen went black and I had no way to get it sane again. I didn't have
time to look deeper (
I don't know if it is important but I got following message in terminal
after this crash:

Ok, I can't make the backtrace right now (gdm, don't have a remote
machine. Apport does not report a thing)
It seems the X server terminates normally on an error, so I did a little
of "Debugging Error Exits" as I read from the wiki that Bryce pointed.
One log was created closing x server with vlc
