We still have this problem behind our enterprise's proxy with Natty beta
2.
The proxy was set in GNOME with System --> Preferences --> Network proxy
and applied system wide.
In a terminal, here is what I can see :

to the launcher and closed the app, then starting from it launcher

It happens to me regardless of whether compsiting is enabled or not. I'm
using nvidia-current with nVidia 250GT. I enabled vsync of the nVidia
panel, which solved it under Lucid, but didn't help with Natty.

Hmm. After doing 'apt-get autoclean', 'apt-get autoremove' and 'apt-get
install -f', things seems to be ok. Could it have been that the xorg-
files were too large for some cache under /var or something, and that
after some freeing of space the install went through better? Everything
seems ok for no
