Using latest 32-bit Ubuntu 10.10, this still causes eog and even GIMP to
consume massive amounts of memory, the system becomes completely
unresponsive and at some time just freezes. Hard reboot is required
after this. The only program capable of opening this file from Draw
seems to be Inkscape.

This is not fixed. Tested on a Samsung q530 with Natty Beta 1 and the
brightness indicator displays but the brightness does not actually
change. At least the panel no longer becomes inaccessible after
attempting to change brightness but the brightness does not change.
