I also have same problem since last winbind update 3 days ago. I use winbind to
provide system authenticatio/authorization in a MS Active Directory domain.

Actually, this has previously been reported. It is not the exact same
problem, but it IS about the fact that gpm doesn't stored saved
brightness settings, so marking this bug as a duplicate of bug #35223.

The new Beta 1 release works fine when I try the 32bit version, but the 64 bit
build boots as far as the 'Try' - 'install' window. On clicking 'try' it hangs

The link itself works, because it's generated on-the-fly using the form's
