I've done the suggested updates from my update-manager - and now my inux does
not boot anymore the GUI.
after a normal boot it stops with the state "Checking battery state... OK" (I
run it on a desktop machine, so no big surprise)
and then: nothing more
hitting strg+alt+F1I am able to login to

you were trying to attach that volume, and look through the
/var/log/libvirt/ logfiles on the server for any relevant error
messages?
