I don't understand the "intended behaviour" part. I don't think I should
file a bug in OpenOffice.org because autodetection does work correctly
there, or should I? ;-)

@Captain Chaos: To keep it short: These ticks are imposed by the Linux
Kernel while trying to shift & balance the workload over the available
CPU cores. The problem here is, that these "ticks" occur during idling
phases and therefore inhibit the CPUs to fall into their power-saving
states. A littl
I'm in a dual-monitor setup, with different resolutions on each. Right
now, I'm having trouble just creating a background that can work
correctly without scaling on both. My layout

Hmm. Span does seem to work in this case at least. I definitely would
have expected Tile to work correctly as well, but it doesn't. Anyways,
here's a datapoint which should probably be considered.
(For the record, that horrendous ascii-art was supposed to reflect a

As some many times occurs, the things that don't work in 64 bits works well
with 32 bits.
I installed this version and even from the live the card was successfully
initialized and all works OK.

Hi allenlan,
My apologies for the delay in response, The MainlineBuilds page mentioned
above should have all of the information you need to get and try the upstream
kernels. The mainline kernels are 'vanilla' upstream kernels that have the most
basic of changes for us to use them in testing.
I am able to reproduce this bug on a Natty i386 system (duplicate bug
729157). The traceback looks slightly different (it has "db.flush()"
instead of "db.add_document(doc)").
