I just got to see the (kind of) duplicate bug 716143. This assertion
and (hasattr(v[0], 'isalnum') or hasattr(v[0], 'read'
would hit if the value that gets passed is neither a string nor a file
object. In particular, it would error out like this if you try to pass
"None".

Ok.. I don't want to be too optimistic, but no crash with the new kernel
yet.. It also runs already pretty smoothly on the 8530w and I could not
see other problems popping up.

With a Pandaboard, running with the PVR SGX drivers installed from ti-
omap/omap-trunk PPA, chromium browser dies when trying to run a webgl
application.
To use the GLES support you need to start up chromium giving the "--use-
gl=egl", t
The only messages you get from chromium is about the lack of PCI
support:
