and can confirm: *it works*!
(apart from the portmap and rpc.statd issue, whuich still persists of course).
I used Clints proposal inserting these 2 lines after the mount commands:

Additional remark: I did not observe any noticeble delay of shutdown

Just booted into the latest Natty daily build using the livecd. As far
as my issue is concerned, this release has fixed whatever the problem
was. It suspends and resumes without any problems. Which is funky as the
kernel is the exact same that I downloaded for Maverick. Or maybe that's
the cause of
drm:i915_hangcheck_elapsed
freezes computer, have to reeboot.
if I turn off compositing this problem is not there. (but then no
desktop effects)

Right, I have exactly the same behavior, so I can confirm this bug with Compiz.
I have tried the both ways under Ubuntu 10.04LTS up to date and this bug only
occurs with compiz activated ( no problem with metacity, in this case the xterm
window is successfully iconified).

I'm using the international wireless network "eduroam" at my faculty.
We've been having a lot of problems with this network so it drops a lot of
times but we can quickly reconnect again.
What's really annoying is that, once the connection drops, it tries to connect

be covered by all ODF document types:

No, I think DND on the empty space should move the launcher. Think of
the touch scenario, people might well want to drag on the launcher where
they don't feel they could accidentally click.

Xorg crashed with SIGSEGV in pixman_image_set_has_client_clip()
The fix seems to have worked. I've not been able to reproduce this bug
with the rebuilt image this AM.
