After some source code & hardware investigation, it works !
I just changed the shared video memory window from 16Mb to 32Mb. It
seems the nouveau driver has some problems with shared video memory less
than 32Mb.

I can confirm that. The problem in sysinfo is quite nverving. That's why I
switched over to Mint "Hardinfo" data + bechtest utility. This app runs stable
and is a very good replacement of sysinfo.
The only thing is: Ubuntu does not have this. So it would be a real help for

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and trying to help make Ubuntu
better. However, it seems that you are not using a software package provided
by the official Ubuntu repositories (bouml 0:4.23-2). Because of this the
Ubuntu project can not support or fix your particular bug. Ple
LSI's support engineer indicated the OOPS (included in the syslog
snippet attached previously) did indeed indicate a kernel bug. For what
it's worth, installing 2.6.36.3-natty from the Ubuntu mainline kernels
PPA appears to have cured the hang.

There are a number of factors in play here. btrfs is not production
ready in the Maverick kernels, it is slow in general and very slow in
the face of an fsync centric load. Btrfs was enabled in the installer
as an experimental feature, as a technology preview, and as such it is
not likely anyone
We are currently moving the Natty kernel up to v2.6.38-rcN. Once we
have any kind of stability there it would be good to get btrfs
performance retested; before then we are likely wasting the testing
time.
