I assume you where using ntop 3.3. Actually the ntop password should have been
asked during package installation, unless you were running in non-interactive
mode and debconf was not able to ask the password.
However, in the the Debian upload 4.0.3+dfgs1-2 this problem will be fixed.

I have a V13 notebook and the same problem happen using Debian 6.0 (kernel
2.6.32 AMD64) in power on and back to suspend and hibernate.
During the boot messages, I see an ACPI error:

I can confirm this. Transmission QT uses less than 1% of my cpu while running
and is very very smooth.

I had this problem with only the status 256 error being displayed. After
trying everything suggested in every forum I just ended up reinstalling Ubuntu
10.04 and now it works fine.
I think the best first step is to try and reinstall Linux and maybe do

They are messages that I posted to twitter through gwibber, then later

The bug is valid, because xarchiver is NOT unzipping the contents of the
archive: it is copying its contents to seemingly randomly-named other
files. The original zipped files are NOT recovered: you get other-named
