this problem with my fathers computer. I reproduced it at home by
creating a new Ubuntu install first, then installing flash. I am not
sure how to do this, but how can we try older versions of the
flashplugin and CUPS?

I have a similar issue with my mouse. I have a Dell BT Travel Mouse that
works fine under windows and Ubuntu up to 9.10, but after a fresh
install of 10.10 (and trying liveCD of 10.04), it will show that pop-up
when I move the mouse after start-up, but will do nothing when I grant
it access...then

Nevermind. Please disregard my last comment. Markus Feist, you are
AWESOME! It was my fault that your grub mod wasn't working for me as I
forgot that on my board, there is no sata-0 and that it starts at 1,
once I adjusted, my CH20L blu-ray drive started working and Ubuntu
booted just as fast as

BTW, my SATA controller is set to RAID mode and the grub modifier
worked. My blu-ray drive is set on the 3rd port now, so the grub mod I
used is:
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX="libata.force=3:nohrst"
On my board, the port numbers start with 1 and not 0 like most boards
do. I added this line to my /etc/def
