Note that there does not seem to be a newer upstream pychecker release
that fixes this. Because Python 2.7 support seems spread out among
several CVS commits, I tried doing a merge package from the latest CVS
tree, but there were conflicts. I think we should wait until a new
upstream is released,

call telinit u at all, because upstart will lose all of its state if it

I have not been able to resolve the mute issue on a 6730b, but I did
find a nice workaround, which is setting a keyboard shortcut to control
mute for my laptop. In my case, I set Ctrl+~ as mute, and it works fine.

I solved the problem by hitting advanced options in the partition menu.

I'm using Ubuntu 10.10 64-bit, and starting last week or so, my /var/log
directory has been filling up way too fast. It gets to be about 7gb
every few days. The main culprits are kern.log and messages.

OK, I didn't realize that. The version of soundkonverter that had been
included in Ubuntu in Lucid and previous releases actually changed the
volume of the sound throughout the file in a way that Audacity even
recognized. I'll see what I can do to test around and verify whether

this is a bug either in ui/sdl.c, or in the SDL libraries.

Actually, I'm not sure how soon I can get a maverick host up with space
for two guests. Thomas, could you retry my steps above precisely and
check whether those succeed?
I will however try to reproduce with two network namespaces in a
maverick instance.

I added maverick-proposed and tried linux-image-2.6.35-903-omap4 version
2.6.35-903.20 on a Panda. It works fine, I can run Unity on a 1080p
monitor with no issue (i.e. no black screen).
Note that the "black screen" can still be obtained "on purpose" with
