Seems to be an issue with 10.10 as well. Connecting to another pc over wifi
results in really annoying strobing sound effects.
Using a cable fixes it but that's not a solution.
Tried upgrading wireless driver to no avail and after searching about a
possible pulseaudio issue this bug popped up.

I was affected too and i solved it with Sameer Morar's PPA
1) exit banshee
2) add the PPA: ppa:smorar/random
3) update your system
Step 2 and 3 can be easily performed in a gnome-terminal thusly:

solved the color problem, at least for now, i figured the defaul value
for HUE is in the middle which rendered the colours altered. is this
normal? i took the slide to maximum (all the way right) and now it seems
ok. anyone who has access to these codes may want to modify the default
value of hue (

Patch grub-mkconfig to use blkid instead of grub-probe, because
grub-probe balks on /dev/mapper/{WWID} entries.
