I am very new to Ubuntu, still need to learn a lot.
What I did to solve my problem was to do an update with Update Manager
and once that was done the concern was resolved.
I then ran Ubuntu Software Center and was able to install programs as
per normal.

Just to confirm, I changed the mpi file in the latest version of media-
player-info (ubuntu 10.10 on netbook). changing to :20b4 did the trick.

The problem is that when running svn or crontab -e I still get nano
instead of the selected vim.
As is visible in the above 'screenshot' taken in the console: after I
selected vim I do run select-editor again and nano is still selected
although my choice for vim.

Omer I don't think this is an indicator-sound bug, I fire and forget an
mpris raise call. The player should respond to this accordingly so
therefore the bug lies with the player or the window manager. Will talk
to Neil about this.

I'm unable to resume from S4 on a Lenovo ThinkPad SL510 w/ ATI Mobility
Radeon 4570 (1002:9553). Upon entering S4, the graphics become corrupt -
it looks a bit like an X11 stipple or that checkerboard that used to be
the X background (
I assume that the problem only occurs for your print queue "iP4300" with
the PPD file "Canon iP4300 Ver.2.70". This PPD file is not part of the
Ubuntu distribution, but most probably from a driver package from Canon.
This driver package is also supposed to ship the missing file
"pstocanonij" and to
801 - 900 of 1430 matches
