cursor and the following bytes... so for a 16-bit value, you should just

I should add that I see problems with background even with "trivial"
entry animations (e.g., Appear). It also seems independent of whether
I'm using hardware acceleration or not. For me, the glitches only occur

consequently Ubuntu packaging. We're very grateful for his efforts and
we just want to normalize the process for many Ubuntu users. Advanced
users will still want to use his alpha builds in the Tor repo; we just

I am using ubuntu 10.10 as well, but i am using the fixed driver from stefan...
got no cursor issues... using DRI 3D accelerator i get Full HD video playback
and EXCELLENT frame rates for streaming videos in Firefox, i do not use
Totem but VLC for video playback...

Frequently, the 'boxes' for menus don't disappear when menus are closed,
and won't disappear until I kill the process that started the menu. This
can leave a trail of unclosed, unresponsive menus. I've noticed this
happening on natty only, and not in maverick.

Last night, after about 13 hours of uptime, the system became
unresponsive. All KVM guests were disabled, and the system was pretty
quiet . Unfortunately, I was sacked out, so I didn't see anything
happen, and nothing unusual was logged. The system _was_ however
transcoding an mkv video to mpeg
Is there a reason this is marked as [i915GM] - i.e. is there a belief this is
GL related?
I just ask since my i945GM is also missing the top bar today, but I notice in
the logs a:

Please what's the way out of this as I installed the package suggested

Everything works 100% perfectly at amazing rendering speeds, even Full
HD vide
FTR I'm seeing this on maverick, with radeon.modeset=1 (and options
radeon modeset=1) on a Thinkpad T60p, lspci says "ATI Technologies Inc
M56GL [Mobility FireGL V5200]", with the fglrx drivers --purged (because
they dropped support for this chipset a while back - with the useless
proprietary drive
For me the wireless timeout happens on every other boot up . I have to
shut down (not reboot) and the system comes up fine. My current fix is
to power up, shut down and then power up again. It always works on the
second boot and never works on the first. Almost like something fails to
get initializ
Does anyone knows if it is possible to activate desktop effects (compiz) under
